DatacenterDynamics Converged 2012 Warsaw is finished

On 18th of October 2012 I attended Datacenter Dynamics Converged Conference in Warsaw which was organized in Hotel Hilton. This event was one day long, full of very interesting lectures presented by data center professionals in two concurrent halls. There was also an exhibition available for conference guests all the time. Having in mind that Polish data center market is very small in comparison to such countries like Germany, Great Britain or USA, but still the biggest in the area of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), I would say that the conference was very well suited – long enough and filled with important information.

For me this conference was especially important, because I had an opportunity to be one of featured speakers – my presentation was mainly about the system we've designed and developed for our internal purposes at work. Its name is: Data Center Physical Infrastructure Manager, DCPIM. This system is a mix of DMS (Document Management System), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), asset management, monitoring (via SNMP) and some basic DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) features. It’s main purpose is to support our team in the daily tasks related to data center and physical infrastructure management, operations and maintenance. Currently, this system is in use not only by my team, in Poland, but also by our colleagues from the area of Baltic Countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia).

I’m satisfied with my performance and I hope that the auditorium was really interested, too. I appreciate the strong support of my friends, especially these who attended the conference, because thanks to them the whole experience was even more fun and I felt really comfortable (no stress at all).

I plan to write a short report on DatacenterDynamics Converged 2012 Warsaw conference quite soon, but let the organizers update their website first.
